Hermès Mini Jypsiere Guide: 2026 Price, Size and What Fits

The older Jypsiere 28, 31, 34, and 37 are deeper messenger bags. The Mini is a flat crossbody for a phone and a few small essentials.

In the U.S., a Swift Mini with a leather strap is $9,900 and one with a Wooly canvas strap is $9,550. The bag measures 22 x 14.8 x 5.3 cm, or 8.7 x 5.8 x 2.1 inches.

Hermès calls it the Jypsiere mini bag. Mini Jypsiere, Mini Jypsière, and Jypsiere mini are also common names. Current product titles use Jypsiere without the accent; Gypsiere, Jysiere, and Gypsyere are misspellings.

Jean-Paul Gaultier designed the original Jypsiere with a hunting-bag shape, a front flap, turn clasp, leather straps, and an adjustable shoulder strap. The Mini keeps those details in a smaller crossbody. It appeared around 2023 and is closer in size to the Evelyne TPM, Mini Lindy, Geta, Della Cavalleria Mini, Roulis Mini, and Kelly To Go than to the Jypsiere 34 or 37.

Pocket layouts vary by Mini SKU and year. Check the exact listing: some have one open pocket, while others have a zip pocket and a patch pocket.

Use a slim cardholder such as a Calvi or Bearn; the interior is smaller than the outside dimensions, and more than a few flat items will not fit.

The flat body sits close to the body. The adjustable 64-106 cm strap works for shoulder or crossbody wear; a 173 cm wearer found the crossbody length comfortable.

Opening it means lifting the flap, working the leather side straps, and turning the rotating clasp. It is slower than the Evelyne snap tab, Geta magnetic catch, or Mini Lindy zip. The flap and clasp keep the contents covered in a crowd.

It works well for city days or light travel when you want contents covered. It is less useful if you need your phone constantly, pay quickly, or open the bag one-handed while walking.

Swift and Evercolor are smooth calfskins, unlike grainier Clemence or Togo. Swift becomes more supple with use. Evercolor is fine-grained and slightly firmer, then softens and develops a slight sheen. The Toile & Cuir version has an H canvas body with Swift leather trim and is the lowest-priced U.S. version. Resale listings also show Evergrain and other canvas-and-leather combinations, with palladium or gold hardware.
