About Jimmy choo

Jimmy Choo was founded in 1996 by the eponymous Malaysian cobbler along with former Vogue editor Tamara Mellon. The London-based brand quickly gained fame for its sensual yet elegant shoes, and soon expanded into handbags. Jimmy Choo bags exude confidence and glamour, crafted with fine Italian leathers, polished hardware and attention to detail.

Signature styles include the Anabel tote, known for its supple leather body and gleaming hardware details. The Bon Bon line offers classic bucket shapes reimagined with glossy patent leathers or snakeskin. Evening bags make a glitzy statement, encrusted with crystals or finished with delicate satin bows. Crossbody bags come in sleek flap silhouettes as well as casual camera bag designs.

Beyond the main collections, limited editions allow more avant-garde interpretations. Recent examples include manga-inspired bags with Sailor Moon motifs. Vintage Jimmy Choo bags are also coveted for their quality construction and unique detailing like hand-painted finishes.

Compared to other luxury brands, Jimmy Choo occupies an aspirational yet accessible space. Their bags are priced lower than premier heritage maisons like Chanel or Hermès, but still offer Luxe details and craftsmanship.

Jimmy Choo has changed hands among various fashion conglomerates over the years but retains its glamorous identity. Under the helm of creative director Sandra Choi, the brand continues pushing boundaries while respecting its core values of empowerment, seduction and cutting-edge style.
