Vintage 1970s Céline Horse Carriage / Sulky Box bag in brown leather – Made in Italy Authentic vintage Céline Paris bag, iconic Horse Carriage / Sulky Box model, from the 1970s. A particularly representative piece of “Old Céline”, recognizable by its spectacular golden Carriage / Sulky clasp, inspired by the Maison's historic equestrian world. The bag, made of smooth chocolate brown leather, features a structured flap construction and a wide adjustable leather shoulder strap. The golden metal attachments in the shape of stirrups and the central clasp decorated with the carriage give this model all its personality. The interior, entirely in chocolate brown tones, is remarkably organized with three compartments, two patch pockets, and one zipped pocket. The golden marking “CÉLINE PARIS – MADE IN ITALY” is present under the flap. The zipper pull of the inside pocket is also adorned with a “C” medallion. A true Old Céline collector's item, both elegant, functional, and characteristic of the Maison's equestrian design in the 1970s. Condition report Very good overall condition considering the age of the piece. The outer leather remains smooth, supple, and well-maintained, with a beautiful patina and slight signs of use. Some signs of time are nevertheless present and visible in the photographs: slight localized cracks in the leather, small marks and superficial scratches, as well as small beginnings of tears at the interior pocket and in certain areas of the shoulder strap. The gilding of the metal elements also shows a natural patina linked to age. These imperfections are consistent with an authentic vintage piece over 40 years old and are documented in detail in the photographs.
