The collection was presented in Monte Carlo in December 2006, with Karl Lagerfeld drawing inspiration from the glamour of Monaco, the Ballets Russes and Le Train Bleu. The show moved from daywear through cocktail dressing to elaborate evening pieces, characterized by rich embellishment, jewelry-inspired details and CHANEL’s exceptional Métiers d’Art craftsmanship. This evening bag beautifully reflects the spirit of the collection. Crafted from black pleated satin, it features a sculptural frame topped with oversized pearl accents and CC details, a gunmetal-tone chain shoulder strap, and an extraordinary cascading chain fringe along the base.
