Karl Lagerfeld's response to the logomania trend at Chanel was characteristically understated — instead of loud branding, the CC logo appears as a quiet contrast appliqué on quilted lambskin, a subtle nod to the Classic Flap rather than a direct copy. Inside, a hot-pink lining offers a hidden, playful contrast to the otherwise muted design. This beige-and-black colourway, complete with a knotted leather strap and CC-branded zip pull, is one of the most iconic combinations from the collection. It first rose to fame as a genuine It-bag in the early 2000s, closely associated with Paris Hilton and that era's celebrity culture, before falling out of favour for a period. It's since made a strong comeback, now appearing on figures like Lily-Rose Depp, as collectors rediscover the appeal of its understated design. The black lambskin CC appliqué remains in very good shape, with no lifting or wear along the edges. The black diagonal leather panel is in very good condition, with no visible marking. The knotted leather strap is in very good shape throughout. Silver-tone hardware, including the CC zip pull, is in good condition, with no obvious scratching or tarnishing. The hot-pink interior shows light signs of use, and the zip pocket functions properly. Includes an EBV London dust bag.
