Delvaux Givry Vintage Shoulder/Crossbody Bag - Black Leather Brand: Delvaux Model: Givry Era: 1978 Color: Black Material: Smooth calfskin leather, suede lining Hardware: Gold-tone Description: A true family heirloom. This rare vintage Delvaux Givry bag was purchased brand new in 1978 directly from the Delvaux boutique in Brussels by my grandmother, and has remained in the family ever since. Worn only a handful of times over the decades and carefully stored, the bag is in pristine condition, with the leather retaining its original suppleness and no cracking, dryness, or discoloration. The bag features Delvaux’s signature gold-tone “D” arch clasp on the front flap, smooth black calfskin leather throughout, and the sculpted gold-tone hardware connecting the shoulder strap to the body - a distinctive design element of the Givry model. The front flap closes with a tab and clasp, revealing a spacious interior with a zippered pocket and suede lining, both in excellent condition. An additional zippered pocket sits on the back exterior of the bag. The adjustable shoulder strap is in strong condition with no fraying. The gold-tone hardware shows only the slightest, barely noticeable discoloration consistent with age - not visible at a glance and not affecting the overall shine and presentation of the piece. Interior stamp reads “DELVAUX - MODELE DEPOSE,” confirming authenticity. Includes: • Original Delvaux dust bag (“Delvaux-Créateur, 1829 Bruxelles”) Condition: Pristine vintage condition. Minimal signs of wear consistent with light use and decades of careful storage, including very slight, barely perceptible discoloration on the gold-tone hardware.
