Gucci Horsebit Chain Shoulder Bag 2020 A distinctive Gucci design rooted in the house’s long-standing equestrian heritage. The oversized Horsebit detail dates back to 1955, when Gucci first introduced the motif on its iconic loafer, while the bag’s silhouette originates from the Tom Ford era. First presented in Fall/Winter 2003, the Chain Bag combined a structured, trapezoidal form with exaggerated Horsebit hardware and a versatile chain-and-leather strap. After largely disappearing from the collections following Ford’s departure, the design was revived under Alessandro Michele for Gucci’s 2020 Cruise collection. Its return arrived alongside renewed interest in early-2000s fashion, bringing one of Gucci’s distinctive archival designs back into focus for a new generation. Condition Very good overall condition, with minimal signs of previous use. The exterior leather, corners and hardware remain particularly well preserved, while the leather strap shows only light wear and the additional metal chain appears unused. The satin-lined interior is also very well maintained. Please note that there is blue transfer staining across the Gucci name on the interior label. This is visible in the product imagery and has been reflected in the condition assessment. Comes with both original shoulder straps, leather and metal chain, as well as the Gucci dustbag.
