A leather Sylvie shoulder bag in very good condition that was made in Italy by Gucci. This example of Gucci’s Sylvie bag was produced during Alessandro Michele’s tenure as Gucci Creative Director (2015 - 2022) and reflects his flamboyant and maximalist redesign of the original 1969 Sylvie. It’s made from high-quality leather in white with a star and bee design in gold foil. There’s plenty of gold-plated hardware on the piece which also features a navy and red nylon web stripe. It comes with two straps, a detachable three colour grosgrain ribbon strap with star embossed gold-plated ends, and an adjustable leather shoulder strap with branded lobster claw closures. Inside, there’s a blue viscose lining with one smartphone pocket and one zipped inner pocket. The bag can be worn over the shoulder or even crossbody. The condition is very good. There’s light creasing to the leather, a couple of interior stains, scratching and loss of gold-plating on the hardware. There’s creasing and stains on the ribbon strap. Overall, however, a beautiful example of a Michele era Sylvie that can be used without problems. All items guaranteed authentic Gucci.
