A rare vintage Gucci Bamboo backpack in black suede with grained black leather trim, natural bamboo details, and gold-tone hardware. No other example bearing the exact reference 003.1998.0016 was found during our research, making it a distinctive piece for vintage Gucci enthusiasts. Made in Italy and likely dating from the 1990s, the bag features a curved bamboo top handle and two front flap pockets with matching bamboo turn-lock closures. The combination of black suede, textured leather, and warm bamboo gives it a classic vintage character. A leather drawstring opening is located under the main buckle flap. Adjustable leather straps allow it to be worn as a backpack or carried by the top handle. Patterned fabric lining with an internal zippered pocket. Reference / serial number stamped inside: 003.1998.0016. Good vintage condition, with visible rubbing and tonal variations on the suede, particularly along the base and top edges, as well as slight signs of use on the leather trim and metal parts.
