When Hermes' own Jean-Louis Dumas sat down next to Jane Birkin on a flight, he had no idea he was about to create history. When Jane Birkin discussed her need for a sizeable (yet chic) weekender, Dumas immediately got to work designing the perfect bag for her needs. In 1984, we were introduced to the Birkin, which would quickly become the most coveted bag in history thanks (in part) to the 48 hours it takes to hand-assemble this exquisite piece, as well as the extensive waitlist you'll need to join to purchase one from stores. This authentic, pre-owned Bambou Birkin 35 is crafted from Togo leather and accented with Palladium-plated hardware. Togo leather is a thick and durable calfskin with a medium grain, known for its resilience to scratches and the ease with which it can be repaired. Includes lock, two keys, and a clochette.
