Hermès Birkin 25 Anémone Swift Palladium Hardware Birkin 25 in Anémone Swift with Palladium hardware and tonal stitching. Swift is a smooth, fine-grained calfskin ; the softest structured leather Hermès uses for Birkin production. Its tight, almost poreless surface displays color with exceptional depth and saturation; purples in particular read richer and more dimensional in Swift than in any grained leather. In Retourne construction, the 25 cm silhouette holds its shape but carries softer, more rounded edges than Sellier ; the leather's natural suppleness is visible at the corners and gussets. Swift is more susceptible to surface scratching than Togo or Epsom, though light marks can often be buffed out; the trade-off is a depth of color that grained leathers cannot match. Anémone is a saturated medium-deep purple with cool blue undertones ; named for the flower and distinct from Hermès' other purples. It sits deeper and more violet than Ultra Violet, warmer and more blue-based than Cassis (which pulls toward wine/burgundy), and far more saturated than the muted Glycine. Anémone has appeared intermittently in Hermès seasonal production since approximately 2010, returning in selective runs rather than as a permanent color. Palladium hardware is the correct pairing here ; its cool silver tone aligns with the blue undertone in Anémone, where Gold hardware would create tonal tension against the cool purple base. Tonal (purple) stitching rather than contrast white. Double rolled handles. Front flap with sangles, tournante closure, padlock, two keys, and clochette. Interior lined in Anémone Chèvre goatskin with one zip pocket and one flat pocket. The smooth Swift surface acts almost like a lacquer on this color ; the saturation reads uniformly across the bag with no grain variation to break the color field, which gives Anémone in Swift a visual intensity that the same color in Togo or Clemence cannot replicate. Retourne construction softens what could otherwise be an assertive color into something more wearable; the rounded edges diffuse the visual weight. Y stamp places this in 2020 production. Anémone is not in current production as of 2025, making this a discontinued seasonal tone. Accessories are partial ; dust bag and raincoat only, no box, clochette assembly, lock, keys, or receipt. JaneFinds Market Insight:Discontinued Hermès purples with collector recognition trade at strong premiums, and Anémone is among the most identifiable purple colorways the house has produced. The Birkin 25 in Swift with Palladium is a desirable specification ; the combination of the most sought-after size with a smooth leather that maximizes color impact. Partial accessories (missing box, lock/keys/clochette, receipt) will factor into valuation relative to complete sets. 👜 JaneFinds Condition Guide
