Hermès Birkin 35 Arlequin Clemence Palladium Hardware Birkin 35 in the Arlequin limited-edition configuration: six Hermès colors in Taurillon Clemence calfskin assembled as asymmetric patchwork panels. This colorway pairs Orange, Sanguine, Gold, Bleu Lin, Bleu Hydra, and Etain ; each panel is a separate piece of leather sewn together with the seams visible at the junctions. Palladium hardware. Double rolled handles. Front flap with tournante closure, padlock, two keys, and clochette. Interior lined in Chèvre goatskin with one zip pocket and one flat pocket. Clemence (Taurillon Clemence) is a natural-grain bull calfskin ; matte, soft to the touch, with a visible but irregular grain pattern. It is heavier than Togo and relaxes over time, developing a slight slouch in the body. The Arlequin's patchwork construction means each panel may develop its own patina and wear pattern independently, as the different dye colors absorb oils and light at different rates. Lighter panels (Bleu Lin, Etain) will show handling marks more readily than darker panels (Sanguine, Bleu Hydra). Condition: 3 – Very Good Stamp: Q Square (2013) Model: Birkin 35 Arlequin (Limited Edition) Color: Orange / Sanguine / Gold / Bleu Lin / Bleu Hydra / Etain Material: Taurillon Clemence Calfskin (exterior), Chèvre Goatskin (interior) Hardware: Palladium Includes: Lock, two keys, clochette Dimensions: 35 × 25 × 18 cm | 14" W × 10" H × 7" D Handle Drop: 4" JaneFinds Collector's Insight: The Arlequin (also spelled Harlequin) Birkin was produced as a limited edition in the 2012–2014 period, exclusively in the Birkin 35 size and exclusively in Clemence leather with palladium hardware. Multiple six-color combinations were produced ; this Orange/Sanguine/Gold/Bleu Lin/Bleu Hydra/Etain configuration is one of at least three documented Arlequin colorways, alongside versions using Ultra Violet/Etain/Bleu Lin/Bleu Obscur/Etoupe/Gold and other combinations. All six colors in each configuration are drawn from the Hermès permanent or semi-permanent palette rather than seasonal colors. The Arlequin was not available through standard boutique allocation ; it was distributed as a limited-edition special piece. JaneFinds Market Insight: Arlequin Birkins were a single limited-production run with no subsequent reissue. The six-panel patchwork is visually distinctive and divides collectors ; demand is narrower than for single-color Birkins but consistent among those seeking limited-edition pieces. This example is 2013 production in Very Good condition (3), reflecting age-appropriate wear over twelve years. Clemence at this age will have developed some softening in the body panels ; this is characteristic of the leather, not a defect. The 35 cm was the only size produced for the Arlequin. 👜 JaneFinds Condition Guide
