A 2010 Hermès Birkin 40 in Bleu Jean Togo leather with palladium-plated hardware and contrast stitching. The bag bears a Square N date stamp. Private sale from a long-standing Hermès collector. I have not carried the bag since acquiring it from Christie’s. Bleu Jean is a beautiful and unmistakably Hermès colour, but I have realised that it does not suit me or work with the darker and more neutral colours I tend to carry. That is the reason for the sale. Christie’s catalogued its condition as Grade 3. The exterior shows light wear and the naturally relaxed silhouette associated with a well-established Togo Birkin 40. The hardware and feet have surface scratches. The interior has press marks, light scratches and some staining. The leather retains a strong Bleu Jean colour and attractive Togo grain.
