When Hermes' own Jean-Louis Dumas sat down next to Jane Birkin on a flight, he had no idea he was about to create history. This authentic classic Birkin bag is crafted from Blue Hydra Clemence leather and accented with gold-plated hardware. Clemence leather is a thick and durable calfskin with a medium textured grain known for resisting scratches, its ability to be refurbished, and a soft relaxed feel with use.
