Beautiful rare Hermès handbag from the 1950s in highly sought-after glossy exotic leather 'porosus crocodile' in the color 'miel'. The inside of the bag is lined with buttery soft chèvre (goatskin) and bears the gold-colored heat stamp: Hermès Paris - 24 Fg St Honoré (the abbreviation for the flagship store's address). This stamp was used in the 1940s-1950s. The interior shows superficial signs of wear and a few ballpoint pen marks. The gold-plated hardware has scratches and bears the Hermès stamp on the inside. The gold-plated clasp shows a little wear at the edges. The glossy exotic leather is in very good condition and has superficial signs of wear at the corners. The delicate handles show superficial wear. This beautiful unique bag is in very good condition considering its age.
