When Hermès' own Jean-Louis Dumas sat down next to Jane Birkin on a flight, he had no idea he was about to create history. When Jane Birkin discussed her need for a sizeable (yet chic) weekender, Dumas immediately got to work designing the perfect bag for her needs. This authentic classic Birkin bag is rendered in Etoupe Grey Clemence leather and accented with Palladium-plated hardware. Clemence leather is a thick and durable calfskin with a medium-textured grain, known for resisting scratches, its ability to be refurbished, and a soft, relaxed feel with use. Includes lock, two keys, and a clochette.
