When Hermès' own Jean-Louis Dumas sat down next to Jane Birkin on a flight, he had no idea he was about to create history. When Jane Birkin discussed her need for a sizeable (yet chic) weekender, Dumas immediately got to work designing the perfect bag for her needs. This classic pre-owned authentic Birkin is crafted from Gris Tourterelle Clemence leather and accented with Palladium-plated hardware. Clemence leather is a thick and durable calfskin with a medium textured grain known for resisting scratches, its ability to be refurbished, and a soft, relaxed feel with use. Includes lock, two keys, and a clochette.
