The Picto is the pixelated reissue of Jean-Louis Dumas's original Year 2000 Kelly Doll, redesigned with an 8-bit aesthetic applied to the figurative face and body. Where the original used softly curved leather cuts, the Picto uses sharp geometric marquetry, each "pixel" a precisely cut and edge-painted piece of Epsom. Epsom's rigidity is functional here: it holds the angular lines of the marquetry without softening at the junctions where four or five color blocks meet. Mauve Sylvestre forms the body, a dusty pastel lilac that sits between Rose Sakura and Glycine on the Hermès pink spectrum. Nata provides the whites of the eyes. Chai handles the neutral brown on the pixelated arms and feet. Lime punches through as the bright accent on the lower torso.
