First designed in 1932, the Kelly was introduced as a travel bag that was referred to as the sac à dépêches. It was then renamed to the Kelly after actress Grace Kelly was photographed numerous times with the bag (most notably, while she was pregnant and using it to cover her baby bump). The two styles of Kelly are the Sellier (or Rigide) and Retourne (or Souple). It can take a single Hermès craftsman up to 18 hours to construct each Kelly. This authentic pre-owned Lime Kelly Sellier is crafted from Epsom leather and accented with Palladium-plated hardware. Epsom leather is the most lightweight and easiest to clean of all Hermès leathers. It is embossed for a consistent grain and increased durability that will hold its shape and does not scratch easily.
