This Sherpa backpack, often simply called the "Journey to the Land of Stars" backpack, is a collector's limited edition from the early 2000s. It was created specifically for a Hermès exhibition in Japan titled "Journey to the Land of Stars". The screen-printed design on the front represents constellations in the shape of an "H" (for Hermès) with French writing ("Voyage Hermès en Terre d'Étoiles") and Japanese annotations (notably エルメス for "Hermès", 星 for "Star", and 地球 for "Earth"). This bag is made of glittery midnight blue satin/textured nylon, which gives it this "starry sky" effect. The interior has a waterproof compartment. It is a "Sherpa" type backpack with sturdy canvas straps on the back, a main closure by tightening the straps and a flat, rounded bottom that allows it to stand upright.
