There is no logo on the outside of this bag. The only branding is LOEWE MADRID, stamped into the buckle, small enough that you have to be close to read it. That was the point. The Laura arrived around 2008 under Stuart Vevers, who led Loewe's design from 2007 to 2013 and spent that period defending the 160-year-old Madrid leather goods house against its louder Italian and French neighbors. The argument was made in leather rather than logos, and this bag is what it appears to be: grained calfskin supple enough to slouch, framed by polished patent trim and a patent base panel. Queen Sofía of Spain was photographed carrying this model in 2019, about a decade after it went out of production. That is the true measure of design. Not that a royal owned one, but that it's a bag you are still reaching for 10 years later.
