Louis Vuitton Alma in Monogram Canvas. If you’re a Louis Vuitton fan you will know the Alma bag, named after the Alma bridge in Paris. And even though they still produce this beauty nowadays, it has been around for a long time! In fact, the Alma was the second handbag that the luxury house produced, after the well-known Louis Vuitton Speedy. The bag was created in 1934 by Gaston-Louis Vuitton, the son of Georges Ferréol Vuitton and also known as the collector. Rumour says that the design of the Alma bag was originally made for Coco Chanel in 1925. However, Coco was apparently permitted to produce the bag for the public later on. The bag has Vachetta Leather round “Toron” handles and trims, and gold-colored hardware. The handbag closes with a zipper that extends to the leather at the bottom of the bag. The inside is made of cotton Canvas and contains one small slip-in pocket, in which the date code is hidden. This timeless house icon is ideal for everyday use, worn by the hand or wrist. The overall condition and the canvas of the bag are in good condition, but the gold-colored hardware is a little bit damaged. The inside of the bag is clean.
