With its distinctive rounded silhouette, saddle-style flap and adjustable leather shoulder strap, the Chantilly is one of Louis Vuitton’s most charming vintage crossbody designs. This is an early pre-date-code example, making it particularly appealing for collectors and lovers of genuine vintage Louis Vuitton. Even more notably, the interior zip pocket is still fully functional – something that has become increasingly difficult to find on Chantilly bags of this age. Condition: Excellent vintage condition, especially considering the age of the piece. The Monogram canvas presents beautifully, retaining a rich colour and a very attractive overall appearance. The natural cowhide leather has developed a warm, even honey patina that complements the vintage character of the bag particularly well. The leather trim and adjustable shoulder strap remain in very nice condition with normal signs of age and use.
