Louis Vuitton Chantilly in size GM made of Monogram Canvas. A simple, yet timeless crossbody bag. A comfortable bag for the modern woman who needs to carry around her essentials, but doesn’t want to carry around a heavy bag. We are not completely sure of when the Louis Vuitton Chantilly was first made. What we do know is that there are multiple Louis Vuitton bags, with date codes that go back to at least the early 80s. This is why we believe that this is the time period when the bag was originally designed. Fun fact: The word ‘Chantilly’ literally translates to “(prepared or served with) sweet whipped cream”. The bag has gold-colored hardware, and leather trims and features an adjustable shoulder strap. The strap is long enough to wear this bag crossbody. The main compartment closes with an adjustable buckle. The inside of the bag is made of leather and consists of one main compartment with an extra pocket that can be closed by a zipper. The overall condition of this vintage bag is good because of the state of the canvas and the shape of the bag. However, the Vachetta leather does just have a couple of minor discoloration spots. The inside is neat except for a few spots.
