Vachetta leather trim & shoulder strap (Important condition notes): The natural cowhide leather shows a warm, strong honey patina; age-typical creasing, darkening, small stains, and visible surface abrasion are present on the main handles, surrounding straps, shoulder strap, and edges. Edges & bottom corners: The surrounding leather piping and corners are in stable condition with normal, usage-typical edge abrasion at the lowest outer points. Interior lining & date code (Important condition notes): The brown textile interior lining is clean and well-maintained; the embossing with date code VI8904 (April 1989) is present on the inner leather tab but is somewhat difficult to read due to age (see detail photo). Hardware & rivets (Important condition notes): The brass fittings and snap hooks show an authentic vintage patina; a minimal, material-typical oxidation sheen is visible on the rivets and eyelets (see detail photo), which has subtly transferred to the adjacent leather; the double zipper works fluidly and reliably.
