The leather is robust and durable. The original drawstring is intact and securely closes the bag. Top edge and trim: The vachetta leather top trim shows typical age-related darkening and slight wear marks on the edges, but the stitching is strong all around. Leather sole: The wide, all-leather sole has a rich and pronounced vintage patina, with visible watermarks, color variations, and normal wear marks (see photos for details), but it remains stable.
