The bag holds its shape and has no deep cracks or breaks. Handle & strap: The top handle and the removable leather shoulder strap are stable, solid and fully resilient with light, age-appropriate signs of wear and a fine patina. Edges & corners: The edges and corners of the bag are clean and show only minimal, normal edge wear. Interior & note on the zipped compartment: The spacious main compartment as well as the front slip pocket in cross-grain leather are dry, very clean, and odourless. The gold brand marking and the data code VI 1922 are clearly legible. Important condition note: The interior zipped compartment shows material peeling and sticky abrasion (peeling) of the inner coating, typical for vintage items (see detail photo). The main compartment is unaffected and fully usable. Hardware & clasp: The gold S-lock and metal parts shine nicely with fine micro-scratches; the clasp closes firmly and reliably.
