Iconic "Coffer" Matelassé shoulder bag from the 2000s archive by Miu Miu, a masterpiece of the "It-Bag" era designed by Miuccia Prada. Crafted in soft and heavy suede leather in a tobacco/chocolate brown color, worked with the characteristic matelassé quilting with vertical ruching that gives it three-dimensional volume and a soft half-moon silhouette. The model is distinguished by its wealth of equestrian and artisanal-inspired details: Sturdy single top handle entirely hand-braided in suede. Long, thin removable shoulder strap via geometric gilded brass snap hooks for shoulder or crossbody wear. Front closure with a shaped flap and a large push-lock clasp in burnished antiqued brass with an engraved Miu Miu logo, completed by a leather clochette with an embossed logo containing the original matching key. Back with a shaped top flap and "miu miu" logo in applied gold-tone metal letters in relief. Good/very good vintage condition (rating 7.5–8/10): The suede retains its body, softness, and fullness, free of tears, holes, or unstitched seams; it shows a natural and homogeneous patina of time, with slight lightening and shading from rubbing typical of the material, visible particularly on the base and on the leather-trimmed edges. The braided handle shows a physiological darkening due to contact with hands, perfectly consistent with the use of suede leather. Small metal parts and gilded brass rivets with a well-preserved natural vintage finish; the push-lock clasp, hooks, and snap hooks are firm and perfectly functional.
