Y2K archival piece from the early 2000s. This is the classic Mulberry Joel flat crossbody messenger bag, crafted from Mulberry’s discontinued Darwin leather. Darwin leather is renowned among collectors for its thick, durable nature and how it develops a heavy, rugged patina over time. This bag has been well-loved over the last two decades and shows distinct signs of vintage character. Please review all photos and details carefully before purchasing. Measurements: • Approx. 10 x 11 inches (25.5 x 28 cm) Condition Details (Fair/Vintage): • Exterior: The dark brown leather has softened beautifully but shows heavy authentic wear. There is general scuffing, edge wear, and two distinct dark circular stains on the lower back of the bag. • Hardware: Features the solid brass postman's lock and buckles. The brass shows natural tarnishing and surface scratches consistent with a 20 year-old piece. • Interior: Unlined, raw suede interior. There are some dark marks towards the base and lower sides of the suede. • Authenticity Details: Features the interior Mulberry leather patch, the brass disc stamped with serial number 543514, and the internal 'SD' factory label.
