Rare Late 1970s Prada Embossed Leather Shoulder Bag – Made in Italy Rare authentic vintage Prada shoulder bag dating to the late 1970s, from an early period in the history of the Milanese house. Made in Italy in beautiful brown leather, its most extraordinary feature is the all-over embossed design: an intricate composition of figurative, architectural and geometric motifs covers the body, flap, sides and even the shoulder strap. The result is remarkably graphic and distinctive — a Prada bag unlike the familiar designs of the following decades and a rare example of the house’s earlier leather craftsmanship. Beautifully constructed with a large front flap, magnetic closure, gusseted sides and long adjustable leather shoulder strap. The interior is lined in Prada jacquard fabric, with a zipped compartment and original PRADA – MADE IN ITALY leather label. The leather has developed a beautiful natural patina over almost fifty years. Measurements: 28 × 32 × 12 cm Condition: excellent vintage condition. There are natural signs of age and use, including patina and light wear to the leather, edges and hardware, clearly documented in the photographs. There are no tears, holes or structural damage and the bag remains strong, fully usable and exceptionally well preserved for its age. A rare and highly distinctive piece of late-1970s Prada, long before the designs that would redefine the house in the following decade. “Excellent condition” refers to excellent vintage condition.
