A Prada Cargo bag from the brand’s early-2000s utility-luxury era, when Miuccia Prada took the codes of technical outdoor wear — canvas, zip pockets, structured pouches — and rebuilt them in the house’s signature nylon and leather. This piece pairs deep brown Tessuto nylon with contrasting brick-red leather trim, handles, and front pouch detailing. The Cargo line is instantly recognisable for its multi-pocket, utilitarian construction: a front zip pocket, an additional red leather flap pouch with press-stud closure, and dual top handles finished in matching leather. Silver-tone hardware throughout, with the engraved Prada Milano triangle logo plate mounted on the front panel for easy authentication. Structured base and boxy silhouette hold shape well. This era of Prada is having a real moment — the Cargo line sits at the intersection of Y2K utility dressing and archive-collector demand, and the nylon/leather combination is far more distinctive (and increasingly harder to source in this condition) than the smooth leather pieces from the same period.
