Prada's use of industrial nylon back in 1984 was a deliberate provocation — Miuccia Prada elevated a humble, utilitarian fabric to sit alongside silk and leather, shifting how the industry thought about what luxury could be. The house revisited that history in 2019 with the Re-Edition 2005, riding the resurgence of Y2K style and bringing their compact mini bag back into demand two decades on. This 2022 example is crafted in ECONYL, a nylon yarn made from regenerated ocean plastic and reclaimed fishing nets, presented in the soft Alabaster Pink shade — a nod to both the archive and Prada's more recent sustainability efforts. Condition: Very Good, showing only light traces of age. The nylon body holds up well overall, with some mild yellowing present, concentrated on the base and right-hand side — typical for Re-Nylon pieces in paler tones as they mature. Saffiano leather trim, the logo plaque, and tag are all in excellent shape with no signs of wear. The strap shows barely any wear. The interior remains essentially untouched. Comes with the original Prada dust bag, along with the purchase and authentication cards.
