When Did the Neo Garden 23 Come Out?

The Neo Garden 23 came out in 2024. Hermès took the casual tote shape of the Garden Party and shrank it into a smaller hand bag with a front snap and side snaps.

Why it gets compared with the Garden Party

Both have two handles, a broad opening and snap closures. The Neo Garden 23 is shorter and lower, so it carries less and sits closer to your hand. Garden Party 30 leaves more space above a wallet and pouch for things you add during the day.

The Neo Garden 23 works as a small handbag on a trip, but carrying it occupies a hand unless it sits on your forearm. Voyage 41 has longer handles for shoulder carry and much more space for a travel load.

Design & Construction

The Neo Garden 23 is made in France. Its flat base supports a rectangular body, and the curved handles and exposed snaps give it a casual look. Closing the center and side snaps narrows the opening, but leaves gaps at the top; it does not seal like a zipped bag.

Materials

The 23 comes in Togo or Negonda leather, and in Officier or H Viking canvas with Negonda trim. Togo has a rounded, irregular grain and softens with use. The canvas versions contrast a pale or colored fabric body with leather handles, corners and trim. Bredies adds Swift leather braids to a Togo body.

Canvas versions cost $3,000 in the US examples recorded in September 2026, compared with $4,475 for plain leather. Bredies was $7,400 in the January US listing: you pay more for the braided leather detailing and Togo lining, without gaining interior space.

The 23-size versions share the same exterior dimensions. Voyage 41 is substantially wider and deeper, with longer handles for shoulder carry.

Bredies keeps the plain 23’s dimensions and adds multicolored leather braids around the handles and a Togo lining. It costs $2,925 more than the plain leather 23 at the recorded 2026 US prices, so choose it for the detailing rather than extra capacity.

Voyage 41: The Larger Option

Voyage 41 is about 41 x 30 x 23 cm, with a handle height of roughly 20.5 cm. The standard canvas versions have an unlined interior and a zipped pocket. Its 23 cm depth gives you room for a larger pouch and travel items that would fill the smaller bag quickly.
