The full-size Maestra is built like a work bag, not a soft tote. Senreve makes it in Italy with eight compartments, a padded laptop sleeve, seven interior pockets, a large zipper pocket, a key leash, an exterior back slip pocket, metal feet, and adjustable collar studs that let you switch carry modes. All of that structure is useful when you commute with a laptop and tech, and it explains the most common complaint: the full-size bag weighs 3.28 lb before you put anything inside.

Senreve uses similar names across several sizes, so check the exact model before comparing prices. A discounted Mini is not a cheaper substitute for the full-size work bag, and a Midi is not the right answer for most laptop commuters. All three sizes share the same shape and convertible carry; the difference is capacity and weight.

As of June 10, 2026, the full-size Maestra official price is $945 in Pebbled and $1,045 in Mimosa. Midi and Mini cost less in their standard leathers, but they also give up laptop capacity.

Two smaller discounts apply to full-price orders. One owner with a 13-inch HP found the laptop fit the sleeve but the securing strap was too short to close over it, so check the strap, not just the slot, if your laptop is on the thicker side.

15-inch and 16-inch cautions

A 15-inch laptop belongs in the central compartment, not the padded sleeve. That can work, but a blogger testing a 15-inch MacBook found it took most of the center space and left little room for anything else. For 16-inch laptops there is no official fit claim, so test it physically or pick a bag with an explicit 16-inch claim.

With a smaller device, the full-size bag swallows a lot. Whichever leather you pick, the interior is a stain-resistant micro-suede.

Care

Senreve's care guidance is to wipe the leather with a damp soft cloth, spot clean cautiously only after testing a leather cleaner first, and avoid baby wipes and chemical wipes. Keep the bag away from liquids, oils, direct sunlight, and rough surfaces, store it in its dust bag, and use a leather professional for any deep cleaning. Light and dark colors can transfer onto each other, so be careful pairing a pale Maestra with dark denim.

Preowned inspection points

The convertible hardware is the part most worth checking on a used bag. The carry modes depend on the collar studs and strap studs holding, and one Mini owner had a strap stud snap during airport travel. Check that every stud is intact, that the included straps match what you need, and that the flap, zipper, feet, and edge paint are clean before you compare prices. Maestra vs Polene Cyme, Neverfull, and Goyard

The Polene Cyme, Louis Vuitton Neverfull, and Goyard Saint Louis are simpler tote decisions. The Neverfull MM also fits a 13-inch laptop, but it is an open shoulder tote with no padded sleeve and a much higher price. The Saint Louis is very light and unlined with no laptop sleeve at all.
