An exceptional vintage Anya Hindmarch Beverley handbag, believed to date from the early 2000s, in rich chocolate-brown woven leather with smooth leather detailing and substantial gold-tone branded hardware. The Beverley is a beautifully constructed large handbag and this is a particularly impressive example. The body is intricately woven from narrow strips of leather, complemented by sculptural smooth-leather panels, a substantial geometric front clasp, branded gold-tone eyelets, protective metal feet and a leather shoulder handle. The bag has been very lightly used and exceptionally well looked after. For a piece now likely to be over 20 years old, its condition is remarkable and it presents as almost as new, with only very minor signs consistent with careful storage and occasional use. Please see the detailed photographs, which form part of the description. The interior is similarly excellent: clean and beautifully preserved, with multiple practical pockets and compartments. Importantly, the Beverley has continued to be stored in its original bespoke Anya Hindmarch protective dust bag, carrying the older “London / AH” bow branding appropriate to this period — a lovely surviving accompaniment to an early Anya Hindmarch piece. A substantial and luxurious bag from an earlier era of the designer’s work, when pieces such as this were produced with an extraordinary amount of leather, intricate construction and bespoke hardware.
