A beautiful vintage Louis Vuitton Keepall Bandoulière 55 in the iconic Monogram Canvas. One of the House’s most recognisable travel pieces, the Bandoulière version combines the timeless Keepall silhouette with the versatility of a detachable shoulder strap. The generous 55 cm size makes it an excellent travel companion, while this particular example is especially appealing thanks to its complete set of original Louis Vuitton accessories, including the shoulder strap, luggage tag, handle keeper and padlock with key. Condition Beautiful vintage condition with a rich, authentic character. The Monogram Canvas presents very nicely overall, with strong colour and a clearly defined pattern throughout. It remains supple and attractive, with the natural softness and gentle creasing expected from a vintage Keepall of this size. The Vachetta leather has developed a warm honey-brown patina that complements the Monogram beautifully. The handles, leather bands and trim show natural signs of previous use, including some darkening, marks and surface wear, while retaining a very attractive overall appearance. The original Louis Vuitton shoulder strap is also nicely aged and shows natural wear consistent with the rest of the bag. The brass hardware has developed a characteristic vintage patina. The interior presents very well overall and is remarkably clean for a vintage travel bag. There is one small localised mark on the lining, as pictured, which may potentially be removable with careful cleaning. Overall, a very attractive and characterful vintage Keepall 55 with beautifully matured Vachetta and a particularly desirable complete set of original accessories.
