Vachette leather & handles: The Toron carrying handles and handle attachments have developed a warm, even honey patina; the leather is firm, supple and fully functional with normal age-related signs of wear and slight abrasion on the edges. Leather tabs & zipper pull (Condition note): The side Vachette leather tabs (including the "30" size embossing) as well as the leather pull on the zipper show age-related signs of wear, darkening, and slight edge abrasion; typical oxidation for vintage material (verdigris) is visible on the rivet head of the tab; all tabs are securely attached and intact. Bottom area & leather piping (Condition note): The canvas bottom is stable and kept clean; the Vachette leather piping around the edges and corners shows normal, superficial vintage abrasion and slight creases, but is structurally intact and firm. Interior & Date code: The brown textile lining is dry, clean, and odorless with only fine traces of use; the interior leather tab with the date code SD0937 is legible. Hardware & zipper: The brass hardware shines nicely with a fine vintage patina and normal micro-scratches; the top zipper runs smoothly and closes reliably over its entire length.
