Moschino handbag, vintage Redwall collaboration/Made in Italy in multi-color patent leather. CONDITION/SIZE⤵️ Bag made with a high-end method using full-grain leather with a high-quality patent coating. Like a patchwork bag or a leather marquetry bag, the patent leather pieces are organized in a structured way with different colors and are linked by beautiful leatherwork topstitching. The square-shaped design in a semi-rigid shell recalls American cars from the 1950s, as does the choice of the three harmoniously linked colors that appeared on old car bodies: white, red, and black. The front/back faces have a surface of amaranth red or velvet red patent leather, with all contours finished in round piping of the same shade, which gives a sophisticated relief character. The sides consist of a base in black patent leather in two pieces, connected in their center by two lines of topstitching with black thread. From these black bases, a demarcation is established where a central topstitched tab of ivory patent leather, in a teardrop shape, adorns the ends of the zipper that follows. The remaining 3/4 of each side is constructed with an ivory patent leather piece, rounded like the top of the bag. It is a wide and long opening that features a central zipper whose contours are integrated from inside the ivory patent leather pieces with double external topstitching lines! This zip has two sliders: a gold-tone metal heart charm engraved "Moschino/Redwall" and a small leather strap. One can see a majestic rectangular base in black patent leather that has round gold-tone metal feet to protect it and allow for optimal use. The complexity of the leatherwork shows the two pieces of the side bases that sit on the start of the main base on each side. Elegant rigid handles in black patent leather, molded and topstitched, with a rounded visual appearance. A handle on each side with ends integrated into a gold-tone metal ring, which is itself connected to a small teardrop-shaped piece of black patent leather, sewn onto the wall. ⚠️ Non-original shoulder strap in black patent faux leather, adjustable and removable thanks to its gold-tone metal clasps and two small rings on the bag. Small decorative authenticity plaque in gold-tone metal, molded with the "Moschino Bags" logo and located on the back face. Interior in black satin fabric, lined with a white all-over "Moschino bags" logo print, equipped with a wall pocket with a zipper and its gold-tone metal heart charm slider, engraved with the serial number "453054", the collaboration "Moschino/Redwall" and the place of manufacture "Made in Italy". Non-original dust bag present! I will name it the Moschino Cadillac Bag! 🪞Vintage condition very good considering the age of the bag, used a few times and stored since. As a reminder, this is an artisanal creation and not industrial, micro-irregularities or protruding threads may appear. ⚠️ Non-original shoulder strap! All the gold-tone metal is slightly micro-scratched. The patent leather shows slight indentations, micro-lines or micro-scratches here and there, as well as the presence on the top of two small three-millimeter scuffs on the edge (photos). There are leather creases around the zip, caused by the natural pressure of the seams that connect the leather along the zipper, but also by the opening and closing movement which plays a role.
