The Hermès store page gives the address, phone and normal hours; the South Coast Plaza directory places the store in the Nordstrom Wing. These details were checked in September 2026.

Call +1 714-437-1725 if your trip depends on holiday hours, a particular department or a repair intake. The normal Sunday opening is useful, but it does not settle a holiday schedule.

Where the boutique sits in South Coast Plaza

Head to Level 1 of the Nordstrom Wing. The mall's current directory supplies the wing and floor; local reporting on the expanded store puts it across from Chanel. These landmarks are more useful inside the center than relying on the Bristol Street address alone.

Hermès has been at South Coast Plaza since 1997. On March 4, 2022 it opened a larger, roughly 7,100-square-foot space in the center. Older mall maps show the former position as G-1; current placement is D-1, still on Level 1. An old storefront photograph or map may therefore lead you to the wrong part of the mall. Use Suite 1509 and the current directory. The mall history and opening announcement document the move.

The 2022 store was designed by RDAI with curved glass and wood, terrazzo with mother-of-pearl and red marble, and a mosaic near the entrance. The opening account also describes three entrances at that time. Those details make the expanded space easier to recognize, but they do not tell you which doors are open on a given day.

Parking, valet and transit

Arriving by car

Aim for the North Parking Structure on the Nordstrom side, then find Level 1 of the Nordstrom Wing. South Coast Plaza locates its Nordstrom-side taxi stop in that structure off Sunflower Avenue, and its 2026 valet map marks a Chanel/Dior valet nearby. The mall has not identified a closest self-parking row, level or numbered door for Hermès, so follow current center signs after parking.

The mall valet page listed a $15 charge in September 2026. The Chanel/Dior valet's published hours were Monday–Saturday 10 a.m.–9:30 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.–8 p.m.; holiday hours can differ. Check the operator's page for the day you go. We couldn't find a published rate for general self-parking.

Bus, taxi and accessibility

OCTA lists South Coast Plaza-area service on routes 55, 57, 86, 150, 151 and 553; route 55 uses Bristol Street and Sunflower Avenue as a nearby timetable point. Check the current OCTA planner for the route and service day that fit your trip. South Coast Plaza places a taxi station on Level 1 of the North Parking Structure near Nordstrom.

South Coast Plaza's concierge offers courtesy wheelchairs and gives its service-animal policy. For a particular accessible entrance or fitting-room need at Hermès, call the boutique first; the mall information does not describe the boutique's own door and interior route.

Hours, Sunday visits and appointments

The boutique's normal hours match South Coast Plaza's published schedule as of September 2026: Monday–Thursday 10 a.m.–8 p.m., Friday–Saturday 10 a.m.–9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Check the Hermès listing for your exact date. A mall-wide holiday schedule may change, and the boutique's own notice is what matters for a visit.

Hermès allows a visit without an appointment and provides a booking option on its store page. Book if you have little time or want to discuss a specific service, but the booking does not reserve merchandise, promise a named associate or secure a bag offer. Walk-in queues vary; local shoppers have described both little wait and waits of 40 minutes or more. There is no dependable best day or hour. A February 2025 discussion illustrates the variation without predicting today's line.

What you can shop and ask about

The expanded boutique has areas for leather goods, silk, shoes, women's and men's ready-to-wear, jewelry, watches, perfume and beauty, home and equestrian items. Its 2022 opening description also mentions a leather salon and a private space for after-sales and repairs. The current store listing names beauty and Apple products. You can browse several categories in one trip; a department's presence does not mean a particular bag, size or color is on hand.

If you are bringing an item for repair, call +1 714-437-1725 first and describe it. The published opening description does not say whether the repair salon currently accepts walk-ins, which items it takes, or how long assessment takes. Ask about today's procedure before carrying an item across the mall.

The same call can settle a practical question about a department or a time-sensitive visit. Hermès has not published Costa Mesa-specific promises about inventory holds, personalization, or in-store returns, so discuss those directly with staff for the transaction you have in mind.

Birkin, Kelly and purchase history at Costa Mesa

You can ask an associate about a Birkin or Kelly, including the sizes and colors you would use. There is no published Costa Mesa spending threshold, waitlist rule or formula for a bag offer. A July 2023 South Coast Plaza thread describes different Kelly experiences without comparable purchase details. A June 2025 shopper reported a Birkin 30 offer without a full purchase history. Neither account gives you a required spend or a way to predict an offer. Buy other merchandise because you want to own it.

A South Coast Plaza shopper in August 2026 described getting a black Picotin 22 on a walk-in visit. That is a useful reminder to ask about a Picotin if you genuinely want one; it says nothing about Birkin or Kelly allocation. Hermès also publishes no Costa Mesa-specific rule explaining how online orders affect boutique offers.

A practical first visit

Start with the current store page for your date, then use Suite 1509 and the Nordstrom Wing on the mall directory. If you are driving, approach the Nordstrom side and allow time to find the Level 1 boutique. You may walk in; book through Hermès if a long wait would disrupt the rest of your day.

Once inside, ask for the category that brought you in. For a bag, explain the model, size and colors you would actually carry, and ask what can be discussed or shown that day. For an after-sales visit, call first about intake. There is no published Costa Mesa dress code, and buying unrelated items is no substitute for asking directly about what you want.

If you have time to spend in the center afterward, use South Coast Plaza's current dining directory rather than building a tight schedule around a restaurant's old hours.

Costa Mesa or another Southern California boutique?

Choose the store that fits your trip and opening hours. Costa Mesa works naturally for Orange County and has published Sunday hours; Beverly Hills is better placed for Rodeo Drive, Topanga for the San Fernando Valley, and San Diego for UTC or La Jolla. The current store pages do not support ranking these boutiques by Birkin or Kelly availability.

Costa Mesa sales tax for visitors

The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration lists a 7.750% combined Costa Mesa rate effective July 1, 2026. Check the CDTFA address lookup for 3333 Bristol Street when you shop. The state's sales-tax guidance does not describe a general refund for visitors who take a purchase home. Ask the boutique or a tax adviser about your specific transaction before expecting an exemption or refund.
