Hours, appointments and walk-ins

Free parking and transit from Chicago

On weekdays, ride CTA to Linden and transfer to Pace Route 423, which serves Plaza del Lago. During weekday rush periods, the Purple Line Express can reach Linden from the Loop; at other times, take the Red Line to Howard and the Purple Line local to Linden. Check the connection before leaving because the 423 has limited trips.

The Route 423 schedule effective August 17, 2026 has no Saturday, Sunday or holiday service. CTA still serves Linden on weekends, but you will need another way to cover the final leg. Linden station and Route 423 are listed as accessible; the boutique’s step-free door and route between floors are not documented publicly. Call the store for those details.

A new boutique in a historic center

Hermès’s corporate release, dated August 7, 2026, associates the opening with that date. Its shopper-facing opening feature and local reporting both give August 8. We use August 8 as the public-opening date; the reason for the one-day difference has not been confirmed.

The boutique is approximately 8,000 square feet over two levels. Hermès kept the Spanish Revival façade and bell tower and commissioned interiors by RDAI. Its opening feature describes sixteen métiers across the store.

What you can shop and service

At opening, the ground floor included silk, fashion jewelry, home, equestrian pieces and fragrance. Upstairs, Hermès described its men’s universe, women’s ready-to-wear, women’s shoes, jewelry, watches and leather goods. Hermès’s opening feature describes the layout; it does not list current stock. Call before traveling for a specific item, size or color.

Hermès’s after-sales page lists Plaza del Lago among stores where customers can drop off an item for service or repair. Ask whether your item needs an assessment; the page does not promise an on-site workshop or same-day repair.

Choose Plaza del Lago when Wilmette or the North Shore is convenient and you want complimentary parking. Hermès Troy is at Somerset Collection in Michigan, sensible when your trip already takes you to that area. None of these differences establishes better bag odds.
