Ghesquière Era, Early Engraved-Plaque Edition The bag that made Balenciaga a cult house. This is the First (style 103208), the most compact of the original Motorcycle silhouettes. It comes from the early Nicolas Ghesquière years, when the leather was thin, veined and slouchy, and each bag broke in differently. This example has the early interior engraved metal plaque (BALENCIAGA / N° 3602 / 103208 / PARIS). Later production dropped this detail, and collectors look for it specifically. It also has the original leather interior tag, stamped "103208 · 2130 48, Made in Italy."
