2-in-1 Moschino Couture Milano handbag in 💯% genuine calfskin leather, metal hardware and metallic color. CONDITION/SIZE 🔽 Handbag made using a high-end leatherwork method, a very unique tanner's proposal on a classic Moschino design which certainly indicates a high price. The calfskin develops a light, smooth and soft grain on its grain side and on its flesh side, a “suede or velvet calf” with fine and regular fibers. The art of leather goods has gained virtuosity over time by evolving according to the demands of creations from haute couture, innovative techniques have emerged, others have been perfected. Here the conceptual intention is to reproduce a hybrid material halfway between suede leather, stone and metal. The method used to obtain this stone effect like a volcanic rock involves several steps: The tanner uses an abrasive roller machine to practice an emerizing, which opens, shaves or raises the fibrous structure of the surface. Traditionally the tanner finishes with a brushing step to create the famous suede velvet look but this is a reflection on a metamorphosis of the leather which is why the tanner did not seek to standardize the surface, he treated it irregularly to apply a fluid resin containing pigments and micro-glitter. The drying process solidifies the raised fibers without completely covering them, which develops a grainy touch like a pumice stone. The glitter integrated into the resin gives an appearance of diamond dust or frost, this sparkle offers a strikingly realistic result for a most refined elegance. The final result is precious because it maintains the illusion of a mineral visual appearance. The choice of color is particularly skillful because it oscillates between a silver tone and a pearly parma hue. The mineral suede is iridescent with a dominant pearl gray, combined with the sparkles produced by the glitter and the angle of the light, we see frosted silver, pewter gray. The elements that correspond to the smooth calfskin side display a pearly color with undertones of mauve, parma, periwinkle or grayish lavender. The mineral suede also has diffuse violet pigments but its micro-relief nature disperses the mauve reflections. There is a very artistic reading through this ingenious assembly of two textures which will reveal the gray or mauve nuances differently and play on our perception. The bag has a horizontal oval body, with sufficient depth to give it a compact size. All the yokes assembled to create the bag are in mineral-finished split leather. To reinforce the play of reflections, nuances and textures, each oval face has a fine round border “a piping” in smooth pearly leather. The front is decorated with a beautiful decor, it is a mineral suede belt, placed horizontally whose ends are anchored inside topstitched slits. Three-dimensional beads in galvanic silver metal representing the letters “Moschino”, sit on this belt. The back side displays two large topstitched mineral suede loops, they are necessary for the integration of the shoulder strap belt. From the profiled area at the top of the bag, along the entire length, there is a wide zipper and its slider engraved “Moschino Milano” with a leather pull tab, all in galvanic silver metal. The ends of the zip have two rings that accompany the opening/closing and which help to integrate a hand handle made as a small leather belt, adjustable by its buckle and removable by its carabiner engraved “Moschino”. A magnificent belt fully perforated for wearing as a “fanny pack or shoulder bag”, equipped with a large buckle in galvanic silver metal.
