Hermès Greenwich is at 289 Greenwich Avenue in Greenwich, Connecticut, near the Bruce Place corner. It is a Fairfield County boutique, not a store in Greenwich Village or Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. The boutique opens Monday through Saturday and welcomes walk-ins, so the main things to plan are your train or parking, the item you want to see, and how long you can stay.
For current hours and appointments, start with the Hermès Greenwich store page. The boutique phone number is +1 203-622-3007.
Hours, appointments and entrance
As of September 19, 2026, Hermès listed the same regular hours for all six open days. Holiday exceptions were not shown, so call shortly before a holiday trip.

You can walk in without booking. Hermès also links to an online appointment page for a private visit. An appointment gives you a planned conversation; it does not hold a Birkin, Kelly or other item.
The Hermès-marked doorway is on Greenwich Avenue near Bruce Place. TUMI also uses the 289 Greenwich Avenue address, so look for the storefront name rather than the street number alone.
Parking and Metro-North
Town parking rules say Greenwich Avenue meters are generally enforced Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a two-hour maximum. The town rate schedule lists Avenue parking at $0.50 per 20 minutes, or $1.50 per hour. Check the meter and posted signs on arrival.
If your visit may run longer than two hours, choose a currently posted longer-stay facility. The town parking map shows the Bruce Lot as a 12-hour option, but its linked map is older, so confirm the signs and payment instructions there.
Greenwich station is on Metro-North’s New Haven Line. The MTA lists station elevators and other accessibility features. Use MTA TrainTime for your train and a live walking map for the route to the Avenue; station accessibility does not establish the boutique’s entrance or interior accessibility.
What you can shop for
Hermès lists handbags, apparel, scarves, shoes, home goods and fragrance at Greenwich, and also mentions beauty and Apple products. That tells you the categories the boutique serves, not which colors, sizes or bags are on the floor today.
If you have a particular shoe size, scarf, or bag in mind, tell an associate the exact item and ask what can be shown or ordered. Call ahead for repair intake, personalization, or another specialized service. A report from 2020 cannot tell you how repairs are handled now.
The boutique occupies part of the 1906 Smith Building at Greenwich Avenue and Bruce Place. Its corner windows wrap toward Bruce Place. A landlord brochure advertises 6,840 square feet across several levels, but it does not identify which of those levels shoppers can enter.
Birkin, Kelly and purchase history
Greenwich has no published Birkin or Kelly spending requirement. A shopper posting in December 2023 said they obtained a Birkin 30 there in June 2023 but did not say how much they had spent or how long they waited. In a January 2024 discussion, another shopper reported spending at least $10,000 without a bag offer. Neither account gives you a number to budget for a Birkin.
The dated Greenwich accounts here give no Kelly offer with both a spending amount and a timeline. If you want a Birkin or Kelly, tell an associate which size and colors you would carry, and ask how the boutique records preferences. Buy shoes, scarves or other items because you want them; a purchase made solely to reach a supposed ratio may never lead to the bag you want.
A shopper writing in January 2025 said they bought shoes and scarves after moving their shopping to Greenwich, then received a Picotin 18 in roughly three weeks. They did not give a dollar amount. Picotin availability on that visit says nothing about today’s stock or a Birkin or Kelly request.
Hermès does not publish a Greenwich rule for whether online purchases or purchases at Maison Madison count in a local bag request. Ask your associate before changing where you shop. A change of boutique or associate may change your shopping relationship, but public information does not establish that it deletes your transaction record.
A practical first visit
Check the store page and call if holiday hours or a particular service matter. If you drive, allow for the Avenue’s two-hour meter limit. If you take the train, check the New Haven Line schedule and your walking route on the day.
Inside, start with the item you came to see. If you are new to Hermès, it is fine to say so and ask to compare sizes or materials. You can discuss a future bag preference without buying something that day. Wear what is comfortable for shopping; the boutique does not publish a dress code or a quiet-hour schedule.
Connecticut lists a 6.35% general sales tax and a 7.75% rate for a handbag priced above $1,000. Its sales-tax guidance says a buyer who takes possession of a purchase in Connecticut owes Connecticut sales tax even if they later carry it to another state. If the seller ships the item outside Connecticut before the buyer takes possession, Connecticut sales tax may not apply; the destination state may still tax the purchase. Confirm shipping and tax treatment with the store before paying.

Choose by the trip you can make and the hours you need. The available shopper reports do not support ranking these stores by Birkin or Kelly offer odds.

Check the current Maison Madison, Meatpacking and Short Hills pages before making a special trip. If you already shop with one associate, ask how a change of boutique would affect your relationship rather than assuming the purchase history follows you.
Watching the online store
If you are looking for a Picotin, Evelyne or another bag that may appear on Hermès.com, BagUSeek’s free restock alerts can help you watch online inventory. They are separate from a Greenwich boutique request and do not secure a Birkin or Kelly offer.
Sources and date
Visit details were checked against the Hermès Greenwich listing on September 19, 2026. Parking, rail and tax details come from the Town of Greenwich, MTA and Connecticut Department of Revenue Services. Community bag accounts are linked where discussed and are personal reports, not boutique rules.
