Hermès Williamsburg’s permanent Brooklyn boutique is at 130 Berry Street, on the corner of North 6th Street. Its public opening is scheduled for September 19, 2026, with the house’s sixteen métiers across two floors. Hermès opening announcement.
The former shop at 91 North 6th Street was a temporary pop-up. The new address has a broader collection, including leather goods, ready-to-wear and home. If you are planning a visit for a specific handbag, call first: a leather-goods department does not tell you which models will be available that day.
Address, opening date and the former pop-up
Use 130 Berry Street, Brooklyn, NY 11249 for directions to the permanent boutique. Construction coverage uses 111–115 North 6th Street for the same corner development; 91 North 6th Street belongs to the former pop-up a few doors away. Store address · Corner property.
The pop-up opened in 2023 and has closed. Its limited assortment and customer reviews describe that earlier shop, so a comment saying “Williamsburg does not sell bags” should be read with its date and location in mind. Brownstoner’s August 2026 update.
The announced public opening is Saturday, September 19, 2026. September 17 opening-party and interior-preview coverage does not change the public date. For opening-weekend admission or an event invitation, check directly with the store rather than assuming an evening celebration is open to all shoppers.
From a temporary shop to a permanent boutique
The two-stage plan was announced in 2022: a temporary shop at 91 North 6th Street, followed by a permanent boutique nearby. The pop-up opened in 2023 while the corner building was developed. The earlier HermèsFit event in November 2021 was a fitness activation at 60 North 6th Street, a separate space. Original retail plan · HermèsFit in Brooklyn.

How to arrange a visit
Hermès has not published Williamsburg-specific appointment or walk-in rules in its opening notice. Call +1 718-750-0510 and ask whether you can browse without an appointment, whether dedicated shopping time can be arranged, and how to request help with leather goods. We could not confirm a Williamsburg online booking link as of September 18, 2026.
If you already shop with a Williamsburg sales associate, contact them before visiting the permanent store. Ask where they are now based and how they prefer to arrange a visit. An appointment can give your visit a clearer purpose, but it should not be interpreted as a promised handbag offer.
There is no established pattern yet for the new store’s quietest hours or opening-day waiting time. If your dates are flexible, ask the team which day suits your shopping plans. Leave time for a wait during the opening period rather than relying on a precise queue estimate.
What you can shop: the two-floor layout
The permanent boutique expands beyond the pop-up’s accessories focus. Published opening coverage places silk, fashion jewelry, fragrance, beauty and shoes downstairs, with fine jewelry and watches, ready-to-wear, equestrian collections and leather goods upstairs. September 17 opening coverage.
- Departments described at opening
- Silk scarves, accessories and fashion jewelry; fragrance and beauty; shoes; home farther inside
- Departments described at opening
- Jewelry and watches; men’s and women’s ready-to-wear; equestrian collections; leather goods
The home collection is described farther inside the ground floor in CULTURED’s interior preview. Ask staff for directions when you arrive, especially if you are looking for a particular department or need help reaching the upper floor.
For shoes or ready-to-wear, bring the model name and your usual size so the team can check the exact item. For homeware, a reference or photograph is more useful than a broad request for the home collection. The department list is a starting point for a visit; it cannot confirm a specific size, color or product is in stock.
Store-exclusive objects
Opening coverage says Williamsburg will feature objects exclusive to the boutique. The published announcement does not supply a complete shopping list or prices, so ask which pieces are available and whether they can be purchased during your visit. Vogue’s opening coverage.
Handbags, Birkin and Kelly: what to expect
The new boutique includes leather goods. That makes the permanent store different from the old pop-up, but it does not establish opening-day Birkin or Kelly availability, a guaranteed first-visit offer, or better odds than Manhattan.
Hermès says Birkin, Kelly and Constance are sold in its boutiques and that each store chooses its own assortment. Its general advice is to discuss availability with your local store and make an appointment where one is available. That guidance does not establish Williamsburg’s booking process or confirm any particular bag at launch. Hermès availability FAQ.
If a handbag is your reason for going, describe the model, size and color range you are interested in and ask what the store can show you. Be clear whether you want to buy that day or discuss a longer-term request. For a tightly specified bag, checking before you travel is more useful than assuming every leather-goods department carries it.
Is there a Williamsburg prespend requirement?
No reliable permanent-store prespend range or offer timeline is established as of September 18, 2026. The boutique’s public opening is still ahead. “Prespend” is the customer term for other purchases made before a sought-after bag offer; it is not a published Williamsburg price for access to a Birkin or Kelly.
A spending amount from another New York store cannot tell you how this new boutique will handle your request. Buy shoes, scarves, jewelry or home pieces because you want them, with a budget you would still be comfortable with if no bag offer follows.
Does pop-up purchase history carry over?
No public announcement explains how prior pop-up purchases, wishlists or sales-associate relationships will be handled at the permanent boutique. If you were a pop-up client, ask your associate how your existing requests will be followed up and whether you need to update your preferences. The reopening alone does not establish that a wishlist resets or that an earlier spend total guarantees an offer.
For the wider context, read our Hermès quota-bag guide. If your priority is choosing a particular bag now, compare individual preowned listings by condition, included accessories, seller return terms and final checkout cost before deciding how to buy.
The building, courtyard and Brooklyn artwork
The boutique’s five distinct façades make a single corner building look like a small group of neighboring structures. Hermès credits Paris-based RDAI with the boutique design. The building is new, despite its historic-looking brickwork. Hermès design announcement · Brownstoner’s building account.
Building Studio Architects designed the building shell for developer L3 Capital; construction reporting identifies Mancini Duffy as architect of record. Those roles sit alongside RDAI’s boutique design. Building and architect credits.
Inside, brick, gray terrazzo and metalwork surround a courtyard with an American sweetgum tree. The staircase takes its shape from New York fire escapes, with leather-wrapped handrails. Interior preview. These details give you a reason to look beyond the display cabinets as you move between floors.
The landlord describes a ground-floor courtyard and garden, an upper terrace, and a building of more than 11,500 square feet. Access to the outdoor spaces may depend on store arrangements; ask staff before treating the terrace as part of a public visit. Property description.
Artists and opening windows
The opening displays include photography by Bill Jacobson and Janet Delaney and industrial-building studies by Philippe Weisbecker. Antoine Platteau and Brooklyn-based Christina Zimpel created opening windows with figurines, dogs and orange boxes. CULTURED’s art and window details. Hermès also describes contributions by Williamsburg-based artists in the walls and floors.
The windows are worth a look as you approach the store, even if you have a short shopping list. Their opening installation can change, so a preview photograph should not be treated as a permanent display.
Getting there, accessibility and tax
The nearby subway stop is Bedford Avenue on the L. MTA lists entrances at Bedford Avenue and North 7th Street and at Driggs Avenue and North 7th Street, and identifies the station as ADA accessible. Check current elevator status and train service before travelling. MTA L-line station information. For a waterfront arrival, the North Williamsburg ferry landing is at North 6th Street and Kent Avenue. Check departure times for your travel date. NYC Ferry route and landing information.
For a car or taxi, use the Berry Street customer address. Dedicated store parking, valet service and garage prices have not been announced. If step-free access is important, call about the entrance, access to both retail floors and the outdoor areas before travelling.
You do not need to buy a special outfit for the visit. Wear something that makes walking and trying on your intended purchases comfortable, and bring the product references you want to discuss. Dress should not be treated as a substitute for a clear request or a reason to expect a bag offer.
New York City’s combined sales tax is 8.875% on taxable purchases. For budgeting, a taxable $1,000 item comes to $1,088.75 before any other charges. Clothing and footwear under $110 per item have a separate exemption; bags do not acquire that exemption simply because you wear them. NYC sales-tax guidance.
Ask the store about accepted payment methods, delivery and returns for the item you intend to buy. For an international trip, include any home-country import obligations in your budget rather than treating the New York checkout total as your full landed cost.
Williamsburg or a Manhattan Hermès store?
